de-wei-pipei
A diagnostic methodology for matching virtue to office, distilled from the I Ching (Qián hexagram) top ninth line “The Arrogant Dragon Brings Regret”. Suitable for: users who feel overwhelmed when promoted, during role transitions, or when taking on new responsibilities; or for observers who notice someone in a high position unable to win followers and prone to frequent poor decisions. Not suitable for: task-level execution, pure technical-skill assessments, or individual emotional-management issues. Trigger signals: “I’m more exhausted after promotion,” “power without authority,” “the team won’t follow,” “lonely at the top.”
f02-self-sovereignty
Invoke when the user says "I care too much about what others think", "This is making me feel very unsettled", or "I'm trapped by these things." Also applicable to: being preoccupied with gain and loss, insomnia caused by others' evaluations, making decisions for the sake of others' opinions, and situations where the user knows what to do but can't act. Not applicable to: pure logical reasoning, scenarios that require objective analysis, or when the user is merely asking about someone else's situation rather than their own distress.
f12 moment-shift
Invoke when the user says "I'm so angry I want to lash out", "I couldn't control myself at the time", or "I regretted it afterward." Also suitable for: noticing that you are easily angered, repeatedly regretting the same loss of emotional control after the fact, or wanting to improve emotion-management skills. Not suitable for: the user is merely stating facts rather than seeking help, routine emotional venting, or users with mental-health problems who require professional treatment.
f13 counter-intuitive-growth
Invoked when the user says 'Why am I so unlucky' or 'Why do good things always happen to me'. Also applicable for: assessing whether the user's current situation is 'favorable or adverse', what to watch for when succeeding, and what to accept when failing. Not applicable for: everyday emotional venting, when the user is merely describing facts rather than making decisions, or emergency situations that require immediate action.
f17 progressive-self-cultivation
Call this when a user says "I want to become a better person", "I feel my virtue is lacking", or "How can I improve myself?". Also applicable to: self-assessment (which link in the recognition → capacity → virtue chain is weak), setting a growth path, and evaluating "why I did good things but didn't get good results". Not applicable to: learning specific skills, improving instrumental abilities, or concrete problems that need immediate solutions.
f18-listen-both-sides
When a person is repeatedly stuck before making a decision, has gathered opinions from many sides but still cannot judge; or when, in a report or discussion, someone says 'everyone says so' or 'this is settled'. Trigger signals: phrases such as 'everyone is pessimistic but I want to stick with it', 'I'm worried this decision is too subjective', 'I'm afraid I'm the only one who's wrong', 'I want to hear different opinions', or 'I'm afraid others will call me autocratic'. Not applicable to: pure information lookup or routine decisions that follow clear institutional procedures.
f25-mind-stillness-enlightenment
When the user says "I can't calm my mind", "I think too much", "my head is a mess", etc., describing an inner state of confusion, or proactively asks "How can I truly see myself?". Trigger signals: "My head is too messy", "The more I think the more confused I get", "How can I quiet my mind", "I need to think this through", "My mind won't stop". Not suitable for: situations that require rapid action, and situations where thinking itself is the primary work (planning/writing/analysis).
f33-composure-strategy
When a user has just discovered they were deceived, betrayed, used, publicly humiliated, or someone said something hurtful, and they want to retaliate immediately but know they shouldn't. Trigger signals: "He wants to hurt me", "He's bullying me", "I want to say it but I know I can't", "I can't stand this", "He thinks I'm stupid", "I was tricked and he acts like he doesn't know". Not suitable for: emergency situations that require immediate protection from physical harm, and intimate relationships where emotions can be expressed privately.
